why does everybody call it NOS, this is not fast and the furious. NOS is a brand name. Nitrous Oxide N2O is whats its called. In my opinion Nitrous is only a mod worth considering if you are planing on mud racing, hill climb racing, drag racing. other than that wheeling with nitrous is kind of a waste of money. A kit will run you $600 + then you have to refill your bottle. its not as simple as connecting a few wires and spraying your intake. what kind of shot you planning on spraying? are you going wet or dry system? if you spay 100 shot i bet you motor will throw rods through the block. you cant run it continuasly, you only have a few minutes of nitrous in a bottle. More oxygen = more fuel = more hp, but if your fuel system does not provide enough fuel your engine is gone. like I said its not a simple add-on if you don't know the limits and other upgrades required for the system to work reliably.

i dont have any experience with chip for the 4.0l, but it is a quick way to gain a few hp (5-10hp). i though there was a product for 4.0L jeep where you can program it your self, its called flashpaq by superchip or something. i always see it advertised in Jp magazine

BTW dont take offence to my post, i'm just posting my op pinion for nitrous on a jeep application.

There's a big difference between a heavily customized rig on coilovers and custom axles that's driven by the guy that fabbed it all and an XJ on 33's with a bone-stock drivetrain that gets daily driven.

I have a NOS nitrous setup on my tbird. It's fun to use at the track (I won't go into detail about which public roads it's been used on ). The biggest thing you're going to have to be worried about is the tuning of the N20 and fuel. If you're lean, you're going to wreck something. Get your jeep on a dyno (I recommend TecMotion) and make sure that it's safe at wide open throttle.
