family friendly camping

so my family and i have been in calgary for a couple of years now and we want to get back to camping. As our daughter has never been camping ( shes 5) we would like to find somewhere close to Calgary and user friendly, so to speak. we will be tenting it as well. just looking for a weekend camp ground.

mclean creek when it opens. the store has proper showers and washrooms. ive never camped there but ive driven through the camping area. looks clean and kinda secluded. or, random camp. waiperous has a decent camp ground. no showers or proper washrooms but pretty secluded and quiet. sibbald creek/flats camp ground isnt far either. ive camped there. has secluded sites, but again, out houses no proper washrooms. these are the places ive been that area close to calgary. there are other similar places in the bow valley near canmore. there are a few other camp grounds that have stopped letting people with tents in. im not a fan of this. they make more money from the RV crowd.
i found a lot on google. depends how far you want to drive.

wow! you were not kidding. there is alot of places. maclean creek sounds good for what we want. anyone know what the fishing is like out there?

Burntstick lake is good with kids , beach,playground and a store. no decent washrooms just outhouse's but theres pike in the lake to keep dad happy.

Paddy's Flats, Beaver Flats have playgrounds, interpretive acts (geared towards the kidlets), access to the river (hiking) where there is a ton of little ponds with bugs and tadpoles for the young'uns to eat....
