yj hard top refurbishing ?

I would like to freshen up my hard it is starting to fade. Any suggestions of what I could use. The top is black in color.

i was told to get a good primer and just repaint. may be better in summer. im not sure if you need a proper primer and paint for fiberglass though.

I just scuffed mine with a scotch brite pad , wiped it down with prep solvent and let-er have it with some satin finish  acrylic enamel I had mixed up from calgary body shop supply .

Then I sold it    ,    hard tops are for sissies

ha,ha,ha...i thought that the other day when i was forced to take the CJ5 out of winter storage for a day. It was minus 18 and the soft top and soft doors did just fine.

You can buy the whole painting kit in a specialized store for automotive paint
And ask for an adhesive agent in the paint that you choose, so first step is to scrub
The top with a 3m fiber (they sell it too), primer (for vinyl) and paint, I'm sure it's not
Expensive and they can equal the tone of your jeep color, and you will get a better quality
On the paint.
