Soft top window
« on: May 23, 2011, 08:46:10 PM »
So I bought a soft top with tinted windows, then I sold the soft top I bought with the clear windows from my soft top as my top was in way better shape and I wanted tinted windows. Now I find myself in a predicament, as the rear driver side window has the male zipper part and so does my soft top.
the guy I bought the top from said it was from a stock 01 soft top so I don't know why they don't match up...? Anyone have this issue, or know if there's something I can do, such has get a new zipper with the female end put on the window?
Thanks

So....what about the person you sold the other soft top to? Doesn't that mean that he (or she) now has a soft top with clear windows that won't mate up to the soft top?

Maybe you should be going to find them, apologizing for the mixup, and offering to swap windows (or soft tops).
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I know the person I sold the soft top and windows too personally, and I sold it to him for pretty cheap, so he was kind enough to say that it's my call as to what to do. So I guess what I am really asking is, has or does anyone know where or how much it is to replace the zipper on a soft top window?

sounds like the slider (on the soft top not the window) is missing or pulled to the middle or other side.

I checked, and the slider is not there... Additionally, my top does not have the square metal end piece that holds the male zipper part in place, therefore leading me to believe that it never had a slider at all, and that it was on the window.
Is this abnormal for a stock soft top?

Thanks again Shawn for suggesting Canvas Mart, got a new zipper slider for $ 2.50! No more worrying that the soft window may fly off on Deerfoot.
