Just so we all can understand what you are talking about John (been trying to decipher what your steering is being upgraded to...).
In American English, a ton is a unit of measurement equaling 2,000 pounds.
In non-U.S. measurements, a ton equals 2,240 pounds.
A tonne, also known as a metric ton, is a unit of mass equaling 1,000 kilograms (2,204.62 lb).Which is it?

i'm wondering how long it took you to reaserch this info lol. you sir should have been a teacher.  you forgot to mention that the (UK) ton is called a long ton, weight ton and gross ton - 1,016.047 kg
the (US) ton is also a short ton, net ton - 907.1847 kg

i need to check which axles i have.

Why is that Bronco painted like an XJ?
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Given that it's an XJ colour, I knew it had to be some sort of red.
