November 12th Run @ MacLean
« on: November 09, 2011, 07:02:08 PM »
Anyone up for a little shakedown this weekend. We were out last weekend and had a great time.

Minimums will be the usual 31" MTs or winters with proper front and rear tow points. You will need your own recovery gear and a winch is always a good idea. I haven't decided which trail to run yet but that will depend on the crowd and the experience levels.

I am going to shoot for a 9am start with a return to store of 3 or 4.

Cheers,

John

Sounds great Darren. I'm sure I can convince Jamal and Colin too. They are always up for some more pin striping lol

Does a 9am start mean we will meet on the gravel road down by the pond at 9am or are we to be ready to roll at that time?

Please verify time and location to meet. Thanks!

We will meet there at 9 and be aired down and ready to roll for 9:30. Yes it is just on the Maclean creek trail by the pond. See you there

You bet. You will be just fine with the Islander Edition. I think that came with factory trac loc limited slip in the rear too. Either way, you should be fine as long as you wont cry over a few scratches. See you on Saturday

So it looks like some snow tonight which might make things interesting. It looks like we have at least four rigs and maybe 5 if Colin can make it. We will decide which trail to run tomorrow based on the conditions at the time. I am thinking Sylvester and maybe top of the world. We will see tomorrow morning if things are still frozen

We are going to have to cancel tomorrow as we have no rigs with winches coming tomorrow. With the heavy snow coming tonight and the inherent risk on the trails, I am not willing to lead us into too much of a risky situation. Sorry if you were ready to go but I really dont want to have a mishap on the trail without the experience and equipment needed. Enjoy the first major snowfall of the year!

Thank you for demonstrating so much commitment tofulfilling the biggest responsibility of a trail leader! You've very definitely made the right decision.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(
