TJ is leaning to the Right
« on: November 19, 2011, 11:07:16 PM »
A 2" OME lift has been in my 02 TJ for about a year now, and it leans to the right. It's about 1 1/4" lower at the front, and about 1" in the back.
Do those OME springs have  a left and right, so could it be that I got them backwards ?
I also recently installed a JKS track bar. Could this have anything to do with it ? I tried to adjust it to the same lenght as the RE piece I took out.

thanx.

There is a passangers and drivers side springs.  There should be a tag on them. A and B.    'A' goes on the drivers side in the front and 'B' on the passangers side.   In the rear the 'B' spring goes on the drivers side and the 'A' spring goes passanger side.
The 'A' springs are longer.  So if you have 2 A springs on one side it is going to lean.

OME are definitely side specific and should be marked driver and passenger side, but don't let the confusion end there. Aussie driver and passenger sieds are reversed from ours.
I would just switch the springs left and right and take measurements.
Trackbar should have no effect on height unless you had the suspension hanging and tightened the TB bushing end tight enough to preload but I doubt it.
I'm sure you've been around long enough to know that all the suspension fasteners should be tightened once the full weight of the jeep is on the suspension and not on stands.

Mine leans to right a tad, I think the frames probably a little tweaked (wouldn't surprise me in the least if it is), it leaned to the right with the cruddy old Pro Comp lift and it still leans to the right with the BDS/Currie suspension it has now. It also torques back that way when your given'r.

i found if u flex to much some times your spring will rotate and come out of its exact spot its suspose to sit in . cause it to be higher or lower depending on how it settled

check that and like the others have said make sure you have the right springs in there right places
