Winch mounting idea time
« on: November 27, 2011, 08:27:54 AM »
As most of you know, I have a one off warn 8274 that has a custom double wide drum on it.

I am thinking I would like to somehow cut out the front cross member on my yj and weld in a custom crossmember so that I can mount the winch a little more inside the frame rails.

I know my limitation will be the location of the steering box.

Any thoughts?  Anyone done this before?

also, I will need to get a custom hawse fairlead too with a line opening around 14" wide.
