Ayup. That's the one.

I was racing that day and I'm pretty sure it wasn't ten years ago when that race went down considering that Viper was a 2003
model and Toma only started fiddling with the Omni in 2005. That YouTube vid is the same one Toma has on his website and he only raced that Viper once to my recollection .

Ps. Hey Mike, I bounced on first street at 3 different  bars including the Tasmanian Ballroom, but Toma was bartending by the time I worked there. We street raced(oh my goodness) once and his burgundy notch 5.0 (with Powerdyne blower) ate my 69Chevelle(NA) for lunch. Those were fun times.

Edit: Tomas car had to be quicker than that. I did a 12.9 at 110 in my POS civic crap car, and his was way faster

Track was wet that day. I remember spinning at the lights with my slicks and having to let off mid-track because I was getting squirrelly  that day when Toma raced that Viper. The Omni was capable of faster times in future Friday  night races when the track was dry.

Are you still in contact with him??  Tell him I say hi. He could have been a bartender that night (to drunk to remember). I puked all over the back by the pool table and him and some other guy were going to throw me out, but me and my friends pleaded with toma and told him it was my b day. And they let me stay. Then later that night I met my wife and for some strange reason I through her up into the air and she hit her head on the roof and got a concussion. They still didn't throw me out. That place was awesome. They never should have closed it down.  Soooo many memories.

Oh and that must not be toma. On my tape the viper was red and lost by a landslide. It's on an old vhs-c. I have it somewhere. I don't know why but I want to say 2003 max. I would have fallen out of the seen in 2003 (blew the 3rd motor and called it quits). I totally thought it was toma all these years.

I would have punted your arse out that night, birthday or not via the back door. Remember the  fire escape stairs that lead to the alley? I usually gave young punks the " bumpy ride out" to smarten them up. I'm glad you didn't have to deal with me that night and things worked out for you.
