Dont leave your friends in holes
« on: June 02, 2006, 09:10:48 AM »
overnight...

Just took apart a D35 from a 97 TJ, Inside was trashed...Looks as if the vehicle was left in water for quite awhile. Then sat without changing the fluids for, well, quite awhile.

Lower half of carrier is fine (submerged in oil) top halfi s all rust, lower half of EVERY bearing is fine, top half rusted, pitted, corroded etc. Even the diff cover had a distinct water/rust line.

So folks! Pull your friends out once they get stuck, try not to leave it in there for weeks or months
