My kid's XJ lost it's cruise control.
Any common problems I should look for before I really dig in?

I have a 93. Common problem for this year. On the stalk by the steering wheel, on the back side push the wire in. Do not tug on it pulling out.

Or.... Check the vacuum lines, or the "softball" that is in behind the front bumper on the passenger side. You lose cruise when it or the lines crack.
You should be able to hear the relay click when you press the CRUISE button on the steering wheel.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
