so I tore apart the head on my new jeep tj with the 2.5 to replace the headgasket and low and behold one of the rods was bent. I was wondering where I should go to get a new rod in calgary. also how serious is the fact that the rod was bent?

You could have some other issues going on. Cam, lifter and valve could be affected as well.

I took the rest of the head off last night and unfortunately the piston was destroyed and the cylinder walls were scored so now i guess I am looking for a new or used engine... does anyone have a 2.5 out of a TJ laying around?
