First post, and need some help getting my stock flare back on the back right of my 2012 Wrangler Sport Unlimited. But first, the story...
So while driving north up Edmonton Trail I was just about to pass the green traffic light at 7th Ave. There were some pedestrians waiting at the light to cross, but I had the right of way, wasn't speeding and was in the right lane. Right as I passed the crosswalk, this drunk idiot walks right off the curb and right into the side of my jeep, the flare catching his leg and wiping him out. I only caught him for a millisecond as he walked off and thought WTF and then heard this loud noise. I thought this guy had just gone under the jeep and that I had ran him over, but alas it just knocked him down and had ripped off the entire flare and liner. I had pulled over immediately, and luckily had 10 witnesses who were waiting at the crosswalk explain to police that he was totally loaded and had just walked right into traffic. The guy ended up being OK, refused EMS and got handed 3 tickets from police.
But, I now have my flare and liner in the back of the jeep and no clue how to get them back on since it looks like I need some special rivets/connectors to re-attach it. So, my question is: Where can I find these parts easily and/or anyone know of a Jeep savvy mechanic who can quickly do this for me? I'm heading down to Denver in a few days and want it back on before I make the trip?
Thanks!
