I'd lock it before a snorkel and a roof rack.
how often are you going in deep enough water to require a snorkel?
Roof racks mean you're going to put more weight up high.... not recommended for anything but the street. Ask how many of us have anything on the roof.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

well the snorkel is a just in case kinda deal and I want the roof rack for camping reasons..And lockers are alot more expensive and I cant do the work myself and on the other hand the snorkel and roof rack i can do for relatively  'cheap'.I haven't needed lockers yet but I also don't go super hard on my jeep so im just going to wait a little bit.

Things that are important on a jeep.

Traction - lockers and beadlock

Suspension/steering - Adjustable arms, upgraded steering components

Accessories - Winch, skid plates, air, recovery gear

You really wont hear us talk about much else, and anytime we see some of things not covered, we will recommend doing them before doing any of the unneccessary "nice to have's" like snorkals, roof racks, stereo mods, limb risers, etc etc.

Most of us here focus on functional wheeling rigs. So thats where our recommendations always come from.

Of course you are welcome to do whatever you want. Just dont be surprised that if you are talking about non functional/unnecessary mods, there will be quite a few guys suggest alternate means of spending your money :)

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who LOVES shopping (hypothetically) with other people's money! Haha!

Like some who have already posted, locking up your diffs is one of your best bang-for-buck modifications (when it comes to off-road performance). If its also your daily driver, that could change your priorities a little.

Nice clean-looking XJ though!

I do agree as far as lockers are the bees knees but it is my dd 1st and my toy 2nd (for now) and as far as the steering components I 100% agree I am looking at some track bars as we speak but the old lady has the wallet wrapped up pretty good with stupid things like a home, food and what not.But this spring I plan to put a bit of money into her and upgraded steering set up is in the top three on the list.I can definitely wait on the snorkel cause like i said it was for puddles that were deeper then I thought.I do appreciate all the feed back and the kind words about my jeep and look forward to meeting some of you guys at some meets..

A cheap temporary fix for your steering would be to tack a strip of angle along the tie-rod just to stop if from bending. If you've ever come back from wheeling and your steering wheel is cock eyed, that is usually the culprit.

Little strip of angle iron is a cheap preventative until you get a new steering setup.
