Jeep tj cam/crank sync
« on: October 24, 2015, 12:54:42 PM »
Hey everyone, I have a 2006 Rubicon TJ, I had P0016 engine light and proceeded to replace the, crank sensor, oil pump drive assembly, and came sensor and the light is still on. I had it scanned and it says that they are out of sync at start but in sync at after. Any one deal with this issue.

Have to get the cam/crank signals in sync. I know with a scan tool you can see how far out they are and adjust as necessary.

I believe the Snap On Solus scanner can be used to sync the cam sensor if you can find someone that has one. Otherwise the dealer is probably your best bet.

So after changing the cam sensor, the crank sensor, and the opda, and having it less then 1% difference I ended up taking it to dodge for them to relearn the sensors. so far the light hasn't come back on.
