Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding backing plates for the Chrysler 8.25 rear end. I'm replacing all the rear brake stuff/doing rear wheel bearings and want to be sure that I get the right backing plates.

When I look them up, I can match them to my make/model of Jeep ('91 XJ), but I'm having trouble ascertaining if it fits the Dana axle or the Chrysler 8.25 (which is what I have). Can anyone tell me if backing plates are interchangeable for the axles offered in that year? More specifically, if these will bolt up to the 8.25?

I'm also going to need to track down new studs/nuts to mount them in case I wreck the ones on there already as well as new bolts for the cylinders, and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to get that sort of hardware in town?

Thank you!

Kevin
