Shipping a FJ40 tub cross country?
« on: November 27, 2006, 08:28:55 PM »
Any suggestions? I finally found a new tub for my FJ but it's in Ontario. Not sure on the exact weight yet but it's big and heavy. Any ideas on the best and cheapest way to get it here? I can ship it to a business with a fork lift to make it easier and save a few bucks. Thanks. ......Steve

Where about in Ontario? We have a warehouse in Milton that occasionally ships to our Calgary or Crossfield docks.
If you could get it there, I could see about getting it out here.

It's in Kitchener.  I'd have to look at a map and see where Milton is relative to the tub.  Would something that big be do-able?

Anythings doable.

We occasionally get freight coming this way. If you're patient, maybe I can get it piggy-backed with a load.
See if you can get weight, dimensions etc. It would also have to be on a skid

I'll get a quote for a skid 5'x5'x8' and 500-600 lbs (although, that big and I'm sure they'll cube it anyways)

Kitchener is 50k from Milton

I'm not in a hurry to get it here.  Any idea on cost to have it brought out? Thanks Vince. ....Steve
