Jeep/Chrysler Warranties??

Just wondering if anyone has had any dificulties with warranties with a lifted/modified jeep?

Mine is a 2003 tj and came to me with the remainder of a gold level extended warrenty. I was wondering what if anything gets voided with a 2 inch suspension lift?

Some places are bad and others are very reasonable.  I know guys that got warranties with 4-6" lifts and 35s

Guess I'm gonna have to contact my friend in Daimler Chrysler to find out who's best then.

I spoke to someone in Eastside dodge/chrysler and was told that any modifications would completely void my extended warranty. He even went so far as to say that I would loose the free oil changes that are part of the gold level warranty if the warranty was voided.

If you lose your warranty, you can always sell those OME springs to me

Over the phone, that is the answer you will get.  Go talk to him in person.  If you have spent any money there for servicing they will probably be more helpful.  From what I have heard, they have to directly prove that the mods were the cause of the failure.  I know people have had good luck at Tower and Airdie, however that is where they purchased the vehicle. A 2-4" lift is not going to cause any major driveline stuff to wear prematurely, except for stuff like bearings and u-joints.  Yes you could break an axle, but you could also do that on the street.

I've got a 4 inch lift and 33's. Gold warranty still covers most of my Jeep. So far I've had unit bearings, driveshaft, fanclutch, steering box all covered under warranty.

Well that's good to know. I guess I'm just used to dealing with Subaru, they are super anal about any changes to the vehicle.

well... i sure can't ask them to warranty the items I have put on. I was quite surprised by the unit bearings. It think it helps that I put the stock size tires/wheels on whenever it goes in for service. I also throw them a couple bucks on little sh!t. Alignment, fluids, inspection... whatever.
