waste bin rental?
« on: December 26, 2006, 08:21:43 PM »
Doing some major renovations here over the holidays (i.e. one wall is currently gone MIA since 3:30 this afternoon), so I need to get rid of some household material.

Anyone know how much it costs to rent one of those waste bins from Western Waste or some other outfit in order to unload some junk from here? I have a utility trailer, but counting gas and the amount of trips, I'm thinking one of these might be cheaper.

We rented one for about a week and had it emptied twice for about $450.
That was arranged through a builder I work for. I think  you'll be pretty lucky to get one because I think they're about 2 weeks behind.

When I took out my deck last year, I rented a u-haul truck and hauled it to the dump myself. It was not cheap but after calling around I found it was the most econmical way. I didn't tell them I was hauling junk to the garbage dump, they might not have liked that
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

I know a smaller haul guy that is very reasonable, his company is Bin Boss, if you are interested, I can get you his number. His bin are similar size to the ones that you could get from Home Depot

Thanks, but we're up in Sylvan Lake. I think I'm just going to do the utility trailer thing, and maybe save the bin for the roofing project in the spring.

Thanks for the replies all,
Darcy

i do construction in calgary, and there are a lot of companies that dont charge u for  the time u have the bin, just the dumping fees.  they usually start around $200 per empty.
build 'em, break 'em,
love 'em, leave 'em
same thing
