Given the uncertain staus of Alberta holding a Jeep Jamborree, here's a current posted topic on ECO that's undoubtedly raising some hopes to the possibility of something rising from the JJ ashes.  Check it out, voice your comments, and take an active role in promoting the survival of "jamborree" type events...

You have to be a member of a recognized club to attend this run.  Possibly, but I will see how things turn out in the next couple months

I am planning on going up for this event conditional on: if my 31” MT , winch and limited slip differential meet the minimum vehicle requirements for the event. The vehicle requirements have not been posted. Also conditional on if Apex is a bust. It will depend somewhat if Apex happens or not and the timing of how close together the events might be. (Still no Apex dates so I am not counting on it for my summer wheeling getaway).

The CJA Executive have been following the thread planning this event and are very excited about it. I will start a thread in the Members section of the forum for additional discussion of who is attending.

A big thanks to the organizers of the event.

This was posted on the ECO site this morning

"On my final note of today before I actually get to work...

As of this morning, the Jeep Jamboree Canada program has been officially suspended for 2007.

That's right, no Jamboree across Canada this year.  Hopefully the story will change in 2008, including an option for an Alberta venue.

The announcement was a knife in my heart, but not a surprise.  An official statement will likely appear on the JeepJamboreeCanada website within a few days.

Adam "

As he said it sucks but not a surprise
