Do you mean the 4L straight six from a Jeep. I have done this swap and you need to do your research, especially if you don't know that the 4L is a straight six and not a V6.
1. Motor mounts cut off and new ones welded to the frame
2. Rear driveshaft shortened
3. Front driveshaft lengthened
4. Fuel pump if you are swapping in anything else but a MPI engine
5. Complete engine wiring harness needs to be spliced into the YJ terminal block on the firewall
6. Need a new computer
7. Need the entire driveline (engine, tranny, t-case) as the ax-5 will not bolt to the 4L and the input gear spline counts are different for the t-case between the 2.5L and 4.0L.
8. Then while you are in there you might as well replace the clutch
9. Since you are getting you front driveshaft lengthened you might as well get your slip splines redone as well.
10. New fan shroud and possibly a new fan depending on where the engine came from.
That basically covers it. If you can not do this yourself, plan on it getting expensive.
