Is the best place to get these at national or modern?  Any new maps made recently?

Check at the K country info center on the way in , when it opens , often they have maps , some for sale , the campers center / store carries maps for sale too.

IMO, the maps issued at the information places is not very good, but they are only a dollar, so might as well get one.  The Gemtrek Bragg Creek map is pretty good and certainly the best available printed map ATM.

If you have a GPS, there are GPS compatable maps here: http://www.calgarycachers.net/trailmaps/maps.htm
