Thanks Greg, i think i'm ok. If i can find a Canadian distributor of the link DeGenr8 gave me, i will be even happier.
The problem with all camera tech has been that there are moving parts in every recording device on the market. As i am riding on some very rough terrain, it will cause problems. The sandisc V-Mate is the latest and greatest technology with no moving parts as the recording device is a memory card used in digital cameras.

Don't worry too much about the battery voltage, You can just put a 5 volt regulator on it, something like a LM7805, or I might be able to even just use a 5v zener diode.

Find the perfect battery then give me a shout and we'll make it work
