What did you put in the front?

I am going to have to replace my speakers soon... 3 years of drowning out wind/tire noise etc has taken its toll on the stockers.

I put xplod 220w 5 1/4 speakers in front

Did you use one of those fancy plates you can buy? or just work it out on your own?

I've seen the plates and I just can't see that it would be too hard to figure something out on your own.

those plates will not work on 03-up

you would have to modify them

If you do decide to take apart the stock subbox and replace with an 8inch sub, could you take pictures? It'd be interesting to see what it looks like inside there, might be worth my time to add a little bit more boom. Would also be interesting to see if there's any way of connecting an RCA to the stock amp as apposed to the line converter it's gotta be using now (considering it's connected to the rear speaker outputs)
