Hey all,
I remember seeing a similar post on the old site, but cant find it anymore...
Anyway, was driving to work today and a dump truck coming the opposite direction either kicked up or spit out a large rock.... smacked dead on into the windshield, and left an impact crater the size of a soccer ball!! If it was going any faster it would surely have come right through and seriously hurt my passenger.
Since I just got back from vacation and money is tight, and insurance does not cover this... the questions are as follows:
1) Can you get reasonable windshield insurance to cover this event in the future? I know other provinces have it but not sure about Alberta.
2) How long can I let it go before it will start to get worse?
3) What is the law about this stuff... do I have to fix it right away. I know in Quebec you do, but I am always seeing cars here with big cracks, etc.
4) Where is a cheap place I can get this fixed?
Thanks for the help... I will try to post a picture later.
