frontend click/some sort of rumble hehe
« on: August 23, 2008, 03:18:52 PM »
from the drivers front.  its clicking more and more regularely (like with everywheel rotation) clicks and clunks and i can feel it rotating if that makes anysense (everytime it turns, i can hear it, like, every rotation, damn i'm bad at describing stuff)  but from the click i'm assuming its either hub or CV.  CVs are coming out in place of XJ front shafts but just wondering if i should just redo the hubs as well seeing as i'll have it all apart.   mostly just want to know what that sound is!

thanks
John

My old Chevy did that - it turned out to be the auto locking hubs were worn out... I changed to manual hubs at that point and everything was fine.

Does it chatter in 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive or both?
