ARB D30 Cover info.

Just a heads up.

The ARB d30 cover I put on my stock suspension tj is hitting the bottom of the track bar where the grease nipple is when traveling over bumps, right above the 'B' on the ARB logo. I disconnected the SB links and put both front tires, one after the other, on top of a 3 foot rock to see if the cover would interfere with the travel. It didnt (at slow crawl speed).
So I gotta take out the angle grinder today and take a little piece off.
I dont think a jeep with a 3"+ lift would have this problem.

The drain plug hole was also afflicted by a factory defective threading job. Unfortunately I had to take the cover off after it was installed and tap it from the inside out with a pipe thread style tap, but it now has a sort of cross threading... so care had to be taken when screwing the plug into the cover.

A heads up to anyone looking at the ARB cover. Seems a little stupid for a cover that costs over $220. Hopefully the drain hole was just in my case. Check before installing so you dont have to take it off after youve waited 24 hrs for the rtv to dry.

1 postive note is this: the cover is built like its for a tank. 3/8ths - 1 inch thick in some areas.
