Hey Everyone!!
It’s that time of year again. On
Saturday September 17th 2005 the
A.U.R.S. will be holding our annual Waiparous Volunteer Days.
We will be meeting at 8:00 am for registration at the Ghost Airstrip.
Directions: West on 1A past Cochrane, right hand turn North on Hwy 940. Follow until you see a blue sign for the Ghost Airstrip, turn left into driveway and follow the signs. For more details directions, please check the AURS website.
Some things to bring with you: shovel, hammer, pick-axe, chain saw, axe, ppe (personal protective equipment) prybar, hiking boots, dry change of clothes, work gloves, bag lunch, water, hat, sunscreen, your 4x4, quad, motorbike, or just your feet!!
We will be leaving for all projects at 9:30 am sharp! We have a lot of projects going on so please be registered and have your waiver signed before then. Please visit the AURS website for a downloadable waiver, fill it out unsigned and you will receive one FREE raffle ticket!!
Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm and afterwards we will be doing the raffle draws and another special presentaiotn by the Highriders!
There will be
AURS board members available as early as 7:00 am for any help or questions. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each all proceeds going to our trail fund. As well 50/50 tickets will be sold for $1.00. Please see Kerry Elson for registration and Christine Sipos for raffle and 50/50 tickets.
Camping will be provided those who are wishing to camp, at the Ghost Airstrip. So come for the weekend or just the day! :thumbup:
