Where the heck to rent in canmore?

Hey all thanks for reading. A friend of mine is looking to rent in canmore, exshaw or banff area and needs a place to start looking, already searched the papers and net but all that I can find is vacation short term rentals. Does anyone have any idea on where else to check in those areas? Thanks!

Has he gone to the town and drove around looking for for rent sings in the windows? Also the local papers and the local free papers are great sources. I found a place in a small town I was moving to once by stopping at the local coffee shop ( not Timmys ) and gust asked around and in 20 min I had a place for the 4 months I was working their.

tell your friend he is crazy! no work, and the reason why he can only find vacation homes there is because its to expensive to live there. i looked already.

Good luck with that. we have lots of customers from Canmore, talk to them lots, if you can find somewhere it is going to cost a ridiculous amount of money.
Exshaw may be a little less but it's gonna be hard to find anywhere. Maybe stop in at the gas station/coffe shop in exshaw and ask around.
On the plus side I hear the Canmore Wendy's is starting people at $17 per hour for full time. So if you can find a job it will probably pay well.

Best bet is to buy a rv and park it somewhere if he wants to live there.

he should go for banff, most places give free or staff acoms

well in the winter his best bet is to work on the ski hills, but in the summer??? and about the jobs that pay well.... they have to, most of the people that live in banff are retired convenient store owners so the people that work there have to travel.

Has your buddy had any luck finding a place?
