98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with Quadra-Trac

I just bought my first vehicle a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the Quadra-Trac system in it. I was wondering if there is any way to take that out and put in a Selec-Trac system. If this is possible please let me know and if it can be done how much it would roughly cost to do.

You should be able to just swap the t-cases. Cost will be the cost of the t-case($300-$800 depending on the deal you find) and the labour. Don't forget the inside bezel for the t-case shifter.

I did it on my '89 XJ, went from Command Trac to Select-Trac. I believe Steve swapped a NP242 into the GC he is selling.

This will give you an idea of what needs to be done, it's not exact but it's close.  Jeepsunlimited also has a few threads on the subject...  It's something I've got in the back of my mind but untill mine actually craps out IMO it's not worth it.  Theirs alot of other areas on the vehicle that'll give you better performance on and off road.
uh...
