Rubicon air locker speed

Does anyone else with a Rubicon find the reaction time to engaging and disconnecting the lockers quite slow? Has anyone done an upgrade that they are happy with?  Any forums or folks you'd suggest I talk to?

based solely on what I have read it can be upto 30 seconds on occasion , 
I think rubi's have had two types of locker designs (air and now electric ?)  and
the info I saw seemed to be the earlier air version (tj's?)

mine take around 30 seconds as well .. the front seems to engage faster then the rear . but now i have a problem with the rear end ill find out tomorrow what the price is

that would take some getting use to and if delay is lenghty you might be stuck before it kicks in

dont think everyone experiences it though,  they run at low pressure (5psi) which may account for part of it unlike the arb which is near instant but runs at 80+ psi ...

Thank god mine don't take that long, mine takes anywhere from 2 to 4 seconds, the rear will usually lock up faster then the front.

None of them take that long. People that go by that are going by the flashing light, which is unreliable at best. The flashing light is just a contacter that makes a connection and sends a signal to the dash.

Unless there is something wrong with the system, the actual mechanical locking of the axle is no more then a couple of seconds.

this is my first jeep
and i wait till those little lights stop flahing. but on sunday they went away and well something wasnt disengaged because when i went to drive away i heard a nice big crack and the arse end jumped i wasnt in 4 wheel drive either
what do you think that would be . and now my rear locker doesnt engage well at least according to the lights on my dash

The big crack was probably the locker unloading

so nothing realy bad happened .. but what would explain the light still flashing on my dash if i try to reengage the rear locker
is it just the connection not working or is the locker not working. i know the best way would be to go out and test it but i realy dont want to mess anything else up it is my daily driver
