Skid Plate Re-enforcement
« on: August 24, 2008, 09:32:11 AM »
I banged up my gas tank skid plate pretty good, from what I can tell, due to the break over angle, it is going to take a beating at a certain spot.

I am going to buy a skid plate from a wrecker once it becomes available, and I am thinking of getting a thicker (3/16"?) plate welded to the new piece and replacing my existing one. Is there anyone in the city that can do this for a reasonable price?

A lift is imminent too  ;)

Thanks!

I appreciate that Rubi...

A lift is gonna go in as soon as possible    :)

That Rock Hard one is ok, but you retain the stock skid anyway.

$350US + Shipping for a skid is a lot.

Sounds cool, I work DT so may be a while before I can get out there. The skid can take a few more hits yet... let's see what happens next weekend lol

The damage is not so bad, however, it seems a bit weak to take a lot more of those hits though.
