JK Breather tubes

Hi!

Just thought I'd share this... JK owners (actually any Jeep) - should extend the breather tubes on their diffs as soon as possible.  I think the deepest water I've been through was close to the top of the tire... anyway front diff was full of water.  Not a good deal....

Differential oil was pretty cloudy, indicating I had some moisture in there...  :'(

Extending breather tubes is a must before wheeling again.

yah and you know the stupidity of my situation is that JKBoy warned me about this earlier and I hadn't gotten it done yet.

I've also now been told - perhaps this is obvious - that the water can enter through the axle seals.  If they are not tight the same deal can happen... rapid cooling a dif - causes vacuum and water is drawn in through the cracks.

Alls I know my diff fluid get awfully murky quick!
