Mind if a rookie joins in?  I have good tires (trxus) and front tow hooks and everything working excellent.  Looking for a good run to break myself in.

Ill be watching,  Thanks!

I have been reading the thread and wish I could make it out but family plans that day. Please note

This is not an official club run and is not being set up or run by the club. Please enjoy yourselves and be careful wish I could come but family stuff first that day. If it was a club run front and rear tow points would be a mandatory requirement.  For thouse that are new to the site you should note that even the open runs organized by the club require you to have good tires, a CB, tow strap with loop ends and tow points front and rear.  Good things for anyone on the trail to have. In the past on open runs vehicles without the tow point have been turned away.
Have a good and safe run.

Requiring tow points is a sound policy to have. Without, you're getting into looking for anchor points on the frame or axle...after someone's stuck. Not a great situation to be in.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

This time of year we are somewhat limited to the few trails we have left in the Ghost FLUZ.

First welcome to the forum.

Questions are good.

Location:
1 Limited trails in the Ghost FLUZ most have been cosed to us.

2 McClean Creek, not open this time of year.
http://www.srd.gov.ab.ca/fieldoffices/southernrockies/pdf/McLeanCreek_Trails_kiosk21x39_Revised080710Watermark.pdf

Thouse are the two closest areas.

Post about any other wheeling locations will get deleted from the open forum. That was a decision made by the members. One of the advantages of membership is you learn about what the members know. To become a member it takes: a few runs out with one or more of the club executive, a meeting, $50 and a probationare period. It is always recommended to go wheeling with a a few experienced pepole your first few times out. I have learned some invaluable lessons and had my but saved a few times by the members.  Work on getting the minmum requirements. The new event coordinators are likely working on a 2009 schedule. It should be posted soon.

I look forwad to wheeling with you.

Why is your jeep miss the rear tow point. Does it have a receiver for a hitch? If it is a strong class three hitch I have seen others use a proper receiver and a shackle as a rear tow point.
Work on getting a CB as well it is for safety and adds to the enjoyment of the run.

That's to bad. Definitely best to have one. I was leading on the run Saturday and had to be pulled back off snow banks at least three times while trying to break trail.  Thanks again for the pulls guys.

I added some links to maps on my post above.

Sorry man I miss interpreted you replay as well.
Be very careful in the snow it acts very differently. Also use caution due to the snow hides lots of things. I found a rock on Saturday and bent my tie rod again.  ::) Never saw it and someone just went over it.

Why does your Jeep say Toyota on it?
The obstacle is the path.

or were we watching out for the other 16 bigger rocks, and just missed the one that caught us?
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
