What spark plugs do you run?

I've read with the new style waste spark set up on the 4L's you need the same material on both sides of the gap, so copper or double platinum.  What are you running and what doesn't work?

I'm thinking NGK V-power ZFR5N or the Champion double plat's.  I'm leaning towards the NGK's as I'll probably only put 3000km's on it this year at best, and they're half the price.

I am running a NGK V power I think, nothing fancy.  There are a lot of people that high recommend staying with the factory recommended champion plugs

take a look at E3 plugs. read their propoganda . They're about $8 a plug, but I think they added a little to my vehicles.

I use factory plugs in all my vehicles.  My experiments with fancy plugs have giving negligible returns for the amount of money invested.

Some people will "index" their plugs to get better flame travel.  Once again,intresting,  but I didn't notice any difference.

People that run ultra high performance engines would benfit but for my 20 year old Renix motor factory plugs work just fine.

id go with champion. that what it came with. stick with it. fancy plugs are fancy, but cost a lot and never seem to last as long.

NGK manufactures close to 50% of the plugs on the market.  Alot of other manufacturers just rebrand NGK plugs ACdelco, champion motor craft ect.  If the NGK are cheaper buy them you are getting the same thing most of the time.

I run the stock Champions in ALL my jeeps. I've tried others (Bosch Platinums, and autolites) jeep ran a little worse with the Bosch lol.

Stay away from autolites. I had put a set into a 348 BBC. It ran roughly while setting the timing then quit. Still had spark when you pulled a plug and checked it, but under compression it didn't have spark. Heard from another guy that it was a common problem with autolites. Many hours wasted, even pulled the distributor and put a newer style HEI into it to solve problem. For a cheaper plug we use NGK V-power, Higher end we use E3s

That's what I run, just freaking love'em!  More power off the line, smoother idle and better gas milage, seriously!  Worth every penny I paid.  Got a tune-up kit from Summit and the plugs from there as well.
