Q:Daytime Running Lights and P0442
« on: October 16, 2005, 11:28:59 AM »
I'm a newbie with a couple of questions. First, my DRL's don't work anymore and I've already gotten a warning from the cops. Does anyone know how to fix them? Is it as simple as a fuse or relay? Anyone know where it is located?

2nd- I've got a P0442 code (EVAP system leak), can anyone tell me where I would find the fuel vapor hose? I need to check it for leaks. Also where would the vent 0-ring be? Could this code appear with a loose muffler? I THINK mine is good and tight.. just a question though.

If anyone could help me out it would be appreciated!!
I drive a 2002 TJ 2.5L standard

for the code - it could be as simple as your gas cap isn't completely tight. if you don't tighten it until it clicks - then and evap code will be set.  the muffler should not have anything to do with the evap sys.

The DRL on my '93 Yj aren't working, due to a blown 15amp fuse under the dash - I think it's labelled 'clock'.

Some kind of short in the trailer wiring harness blows this fuse when I unplug the trailer.
