shop wanted
« on: April 15, 2009, 09:46:57 PM »
im looking for a shop that is willing to replace a heater core in a PT cruiser. If they are willing to give a discount ill get the timming belt done at the same time. im in SE calgary.

kaltire in deerrun was supposed to do it. dropped the car off this morning, got a call in the afternoon telling me they wont do it, but that my radiator needed a flush and my brakes needed to be done. This is the second time theyve refused to work on my car. i wont be back for anything ever.

Recommended auto air and sound. got told there tech is out of town for a month.

so any recommendations. which dealers are good? im in the SE.

the heater core is  abig job. after a day and a half of dissasembly i gave up and put the car togehter enough to drive it. basicly everything from the seats to the firewall has to be removed. you service the heater core on the bench. also ac must be drained. ie all the plastic dash, steering wheel pedals, wiring, and all the dash supports must be removed.

dumb design.. no wonder i like my 58 and 73 jeeps

+1 on Jay. In my experience, he's good people!
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(
