Car Starter Question
« on: March 21, 2010, 12:46:09 AM »
Do they sell car starters that you can pre-set several times to start and shut off, then restart and shutoff, and again and again and again?

I don't want it to start due to temprature, just want to program it to start and shut off at certain times.
Like for example to start and run for 5 to 10 minutes, then shut off for 20 minutes to half an hour, then resart for 5 to 10 minutes  and so on so forth.

Only can find one that starts every 2 hours, runs for 5,10,15,20 minutes.
Checked specs on futureshops website, nothing.

Another one states
"• Automatic cold weather start. You may never experience a dead battery again. The Prostart™ remote control car starter can be programmed to start your car periodically in cold weather. Programmable run times are 5, 15 or 25 minutes."

My minivan came with a remote starter that does that. Its a lower end one, starter only, no alarm, one way. Its a Viper unit. Sorry no idea on the model. The remote is a RPN 474V.

It does 15min on/ 15min off.

I believe that the CompuStart or ArcticStart versions can do this....if you're close, head over to the NE Visions, and talk with Carlo. He know's it chit and tell him Scott sent you.
