so, anyone know how to wire a killswitch on an old (cj5 77 and around there) jeep with knowledge that i can use to do this myself? i know i should get a real alarm, but i was thinking that if i go topless in the summer, then it would be harder for someone walking by to jump in, hotwire and drive away.

any experience?
thanx!

also, does any one have an acme hardtop?

just wondering.  the door latches aren't working so well, so i'm replacing them with slamming cab lock - style latches.

Kill switch is a good idea and I've bought all the stuff to do mine as soon as the weather gets nice enough to go topless!! I was this weekend by the way but just put the top on like 20 min ago>

I can give you some pointers if you'd like...

Basically just put a relay inline on your main power to your coil and have the trigger switch hidden where you'd like it in your cab

Keep it high so you dont drown it in a hole and short out your switch and kill the motor...lol

correct me if I'm wrong
