Have a good buddy on this site that persuaded me to buy an XJ. Damn him! Now I'm hooked on the Jeep brand. I have since owned 3 xj's and on my second jk rubicon. Most ride like crap but I'm ok with that.

just saw this and sorry,... ::)

First of all, those pics are awesome! You had me fooled, I thought they were real for a second.

My inspiration came from owning a 93' ZJ as my first vehicle.  It got me everywhere and never failed me, till well it failed me, but that was my fault.  I bought it from my dad for a $1 and after sitting for 3 months in the driveway over the summer all it needed was a new alternator.  After that, all I replaced were the tires and it got me to practice every morning at 5am even in the coldest winter temperatures, fired up everytime! Of course it was with me through years of late teenage schinanagins, got shot up by a drive by bb-gun shot out, and even outran some crazy guy in a Tacoma! Not to mention countless camp trips and family drives out to Invermere.  It was a very sad day when it bit the dust, and I still miss it very much!  I wound up replacing it with a 2001 Mazda B4000, terrible idea!  It rarely started on cold days, always had to be plugged in and always got stuck in the snow, that mixed with a multitude of other issues prompted me to sell it.  I was looking around for a cheap fuel efficient vehicle has I had just graduate and a mountain of dept.  One day I was on a Honda web site and found her, 2002 Jeep TJ Apex with 95,000Km on her, in amazing shape!  Turned out that a good friend of mine worked  for the dealership, swang me a deal on a trade in and the rest is history! Its like it was ment to be, and I will never buy another brand of vehicle again.  Did I mention my dad has a 2009 ZJ and my bro has a 1999 XJ, so its a fiamly thing too!

quote of the day right there ;)

I've had an infatuation with Grand Cherokees for a long time.  not sure why; just the way it is.  originally i wanted one to be different;  now lifed ZJs are quite common.

I think my next rig will be a WJ or a WK;  and you can bet it won't stay stock for long......

That's because it isn't running well. It is your mission in life to fix up, then sell ZJs (taking a financial loss). It's okay buddy... hps will give you a hug.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

zj, wj, wk. its all the same, its a grand. I like the newest style, i guess that would be the WK? the others are just ugly. XJ's are plain sexy.

When I was working at hyundai I was given keys to go and safety the next used vehicle, as i walked around the corner i seen a beautiful RED XJ. fell in love as soon as i got in and took it for a test drive. it had 175,000 km. everything was working great, but i called unit bearings, brakes, balljoints, all fluid changes and a few other maintenance things, knowing i was going to buy this thing. after work went and spoke with the used car manager and bough the xj for $8500. parts came in the next day, finished all the maintenance on it before I took delivery and had it out 2 weeks after at maclean. took it out to the falls. I wasn't planing on buying a jeep at all, but it happened and now i'm in trouble, the addiction is getting worse. i'm planing on getting a JK in the near future.
