is it a 'warranty' thing do you know by chance?

i've learnt how to drive it so it doesn't bother me now, but its kind of a pita you know/

Definitely not a warranty thing.  I think it's just how the computer is setup for some stupid reason.  I have a 2 door Rubicon 6 speed and my fiancée has a 4 door auto so I've experienced it a lot, it's just how they are setup for some reason.  The guys on the american sites bitch about it a lot.
