Willys is a Legal Quad in the Ghost...
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:19:34 PM »
Looking at the silly maps today and a "quad" is designated as 65" or less in width.  No other rules.  Some narrow axles and you are good to go in a Jeep.  Stock Willys is 62".  I think most Suzukis fit under that rule...

Makes sense - a Willys would fit just fine down all of those quad trails because they are actually truck trails....
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Was reading that last year. Hmm narrow buggy. Any cj narrow track. IE pre 77 think that was the last year and all cj5 and cj7 went to the wide track. Yea and on my xj 62 inches wide diff.
Those rules allow for all side x sides.

Just like the Ghost was designated for mostly quads because ASRD's staff and other interested parties supporting them were interest in quads at the time, my guess is that some of them now have side by sides so the new regulations have to change to accommodate them.  ::)

I saw some side by sides at the Honda dealership that would put most jeeps to shame. Bigger tires, lifted, and just as wide.
