I'm aware it's not moab, however it certainly sucks going out and not having proper equipment. Getting stuck and not having anything to get out with is a shitty feeling and by the sounds of this thread so far there are going to be some new to wheeling people out there and if i'm going to join along I think it right to inform people who may not have much experience what they should prepare for.

I don't think there is any reason to expect the worst but none the less Tow Hooks, A strap of some sort, a decent set of tires, full tank of gas and a good attitude should do it.

This run looks to be more tame then the other one planned. I think I will join you guys as well. I have a decent sense of the trails so we can go out and enjoy them. The terrain will be wet mud and snow. Plan to get dirty. Good tires with spare, front and rear tow points, extra food water clothing. Once everyone gets together we can decide what trails are more suitable for the group.  Ive got the day marked in my calendar as may 5th. So im going, this will be a swell stocker run. Post up if you have questions or concerns.

I'm going to be camping at Mclean that weekend, anyway, so I will join you guys too... I'm familiar with a few trails out there.

This is sounding like a run I may try to make as well. The meet spot at the store would work, still don't quite know how to get there.

Btw, its real easy to get to the store, Just go west on highway 66 from bragg creek for about 10 minutes and youll see signs for Mclean Creek Recreational Area and Campground, Turn Left(South) and the road winds a little ways up to a store on the right side of the road.

I would really like to join this run as Mclean Creek is close for me. This will be my first time wheeling with a group so hopefully there wont be any really challenging trails. I have on order a CB radio, portable air compressor and some straps coming in soon.  ;D

I'm going to probably come to this one. Other run sounds a little bit much for my new gears. I'm not going re gear again.  But I will still bash the crap out of her.  Anyone got a winch??  (don't get scared, just incase)

Where are you guys camping?  I booked a site in loop A because I can't get the tent trailer into my favorite off-trail campsite yet...

This is great!  It is awesome to see so many people interested in this run, members and non-members alike.

It usually falls to the OP'er that "he who posts first, volunteers as trail leader/organizer".   With that, I'm going to strongly suggest that a list of requirements gets posted in the first post.  It's been a long held practice that this is done for all runs on the CJA board.   Don't let the fact that some CJA members are weaseling in on the open run (and not coming to the prez's run  ;) ) deter you from leading.   If you have questions about requirements, feel free to PM, but after meeting you, I think you know what kind of basic requirements are needed.

There should be a bunch of Jeeps out on that Sat since the club run is meeting there too.   It should be a snowy, gooey mess!
