You sure the pitman arm hasnt loosened off. Pretty common when the box is changed for that nut to loosen? There really isnt any other way a pitman would have slack.
Only other thing would be play in the sector shaft of the box, which a pitman wont help. The boxm ay be out of adjustment if you just bought it. Stop at a local shop and have gear slop in the box adjusted. Do not attempt it if you've never done it yourself. Its easy to ruin a box that way.
hey there Bnine, sorry i missaid that, the old box had alot of slack that made the pitarm move even then the steering waas held.
Update: so i installed the new steering box, and change the whole steering links, its a bit stiffer then the one that was on it, and NO MORE LEAKS lol, the play has gone away, the wobble has gone away but im having this really annoying knock like sound
every time i turn i hear it and i jumped on the front bumper and the clunking comes.
every thing has been retightend and checked 2 times, every thing regreased ill post a vido of the clunking sound while i was jumping on the jeep
