Installing a lift
« on: July 01, 2012, 08:48:20 AM »
Hey all

I'm a bit new to wrenching on my jeep and just want to pick up the 2.5" spacer lift fOr my 2012 JK

It has spring spacers and shock relocation brackets

The question I have is how hard will it be to install? Or should I just take it to a shop to get done?

Thanks

Spring spacer lift is super easy to install. Assuming that you have access to a flat, solid surface you can do it inside of a day easily.

Take the $300-$400 you would pay a shop and buy a good jack, 2 jackstands and some pizza and beer. Since your JKU is is nice and new it should be a breeze to work on. I can probably even help if you have enough notice.

If you plan on keeping 33s for a while got that way, I would go straight to 35s though.
