One question.  The dealership offered a list of "Protection options" including the usual undercoating and paint protection.

They also are offering something I have never heard of before, a "Corrosion Control Module".  It is some sort of high tech device that purports to control rust with "pusles of low voltage electric current".

Anyone ever heard of this?  Does it work?  Is it worth the $700.00 they are asking?

Only if you use it as a paperweight to hold down stack of $20 bills during a windstorm.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I got all of this when I bought my 2010.  My opinion is that if you plan on wheeling the Jeep then the undercoating and paint protection aren't really worth it.  If it is going to be mostly on pavement then, sure why not?  For the Corrosion Module, mine is only 2 years old so it is too early to tell.

Wouldn't surprise me if you could get the corrosion module installed after market cheaper then what the dealer is offering. I have one on our ram 2500 doesn't seem to do much....but I'm not sure if its even still working.

Those modules sell for less then half that price. Install isn't hard either. Most of them have the red led on them and if its lit up its on. I've seen an old yj with one that had next to no rust. But rust isn't a huge deal in Alberta compared to eastern areas. If you do get one aftermarket get it sooner then later. The paint and undercoating are up to you. 3M is nice too but again not cheap.
Did you buy any extra warranty or service packages with it?
What are your plans for the jeep?

Canadian Tire sells a anti-rust module.  With more salt based products used on the roads lately, it might be an option. But $700.00  wow...

Anyone know if the 2013 Rubicon is still using the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM?

Congratulation on the new ride. As part of my job I sell and install protection packages for new vehicles, I do not for for any car dealer but for a private shop called the auto protectors. The rust module you are talking about is just a gimmick.

Look carefully at the rust/corrosion protection package and what it doesn't cover. I bought a used 2008 Dakota recently that had this package purchased by the original owner. The package was transferred to me when I bought the truck. It has some rust on the hood from rock chips and some bubbling of the paint on the rear bumper. Neither is covered by this package.

Now that I have had it for a month or so, next question:

What would people recommend for a winch?

Minimum 8,000lb. 9,000 or 9,500 for a JK is probably best, Warn with a synthetic line is what I would recommend.
