Just got a recall form Chrysler for my 1998 ZJ---> free hitch

My mom and I both have 1998 5.9 ZJs and we both recieved recall notices from Chrysler. They want to install a  trailer hitch as added protection for the gas tank.

The recall covers all 1993-1998 ZJs so if you don't have a hitch this maybe your chance to get one for free.

Too bad they aren't putting skid plates on!

Nice score! Did they have issues with rear ender accidents bursting the tanks or what?

I'm guessing so. I seem to remember about 4 or 5 years ago there was something going around on the forums regarding rear collisions and lack of fuel tank protection.
