not to mention driving an XJ on something bigger than 35s on the street will suck. (asides from cool factor)

you might want to look at a trailer to tow it with, and then a tow rig, but a big jeep is heavy, so you should look at a diesel or something; then get a small fuel efficient car for daily driving because the diesel is a gas hog.

jeeze, axle upgrades add up fast.

~ rescue green JKUR on 35s.  typical rubicon build

And a well built Jeep on 33's with a good pilot can do far more than most people think.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

i wheel hard and i don't want to build a stock axel only to break it. once the summer rolls around, i will be getting a car hauler for the jeep so i don't have to worry about driving it on the street with big tires/axels. thanks for all the input guys, glad I'm back into a jeep again.  ;)

As said I'm running wide Trac Waggy  D44  upfront with Dodge 8 bolt outers. This matches up great to a Dodge 3/4 ton D60 at 65" wms which gives a nice stable width but not overly wide.

ALL dodge D44 knuckles are flat top which has is a bonus.

I'm running 5.38s gears with a welded rear and e-locker up front. Also have ram assist which you should factor into your build.

Or just buy mine.  ;)

That would be smart money. You cant even come close to building a rig close to this level for what Clay is charging.
