These stories remind me of Dan and his Blue JKU unlimited, he'd throw his jeep on a hoist and clean it completely before bringing it in...

That would not be covered. There is a line they draw but they should make a customer sign a document that states what is and what is not covered. Warranty covers defects in build and workmanship not design. Up to the customer to decide if design fits their lifestyle before they drive out of the showroom.
