Hey Everyone, Please see below and post up ASAP if you are interested/available in helping out. AEP is looking to plan for early September; but its up to us to set the exact weekend/dates, so please include dates you are available. The only requirement for this project is that the club be a supporter of T4T. IF we have decent interest, then I'll reach out to confirm our participation.Trails 4 Tomorrow has a potential project with Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) in the Ghost PLUZ this year. They are looking for clubs who support T4T to complete this work to help keep the trails maintained and open. This is a multi-year project so there will be opportunity to do more; but this year they are focusing on drainage on the Margaret Lake trail and the work is currently being planned for early September. Reasons for us to get involved:- No experience is required
- It will be a lot of fun
- Our club will receive recognition for completing the project
- T4T has a volunteer list we can utilize; but would be best to have more of our own people there.
Trail maintenance needs to be completed under the approval of AEP. T4T is working with AEP to ensure that the maintenance meets AEP’s criteria and standards. Unapproved work, while perceived as helpful to maintaining trails may cause conflict with the AEP and inadvertently affect our access. T4T manages this work on 4WD trail users behalf to maintain good relations with regulators to help keep existing trails open and show we are good stewards to assist in opening up new areas.
